Leading collaborative groupware software provider drops ASP component and changes name to focus on product offerings for the Enterprise

SAN FRANCISCO (September 27, 2000)— today announced the company will now be doing business as Collabrio Technologies, Inc. This name change demonstrates the company’s business focus and enhanced product offerings aimed at the small and medium size enterprise (SME).

Collabrio Technologies’ platform empowers SMEs to offer employees, vendors and customers web-based groupware without expensive hardware, software and resources. Traditionally, most software productivity tools demand expensive onsite hardware, extensive IT resources, administrator training and continual maintenance. As an ASP, Collabrio Technologies eliminates these issues by providing companies a complete suite of tools in a hosted environment.

The product offering provides users with the power to create individual and group workspaces for departmental groups, task forces, customer support, project teams, etc. These groups share tools for managing information and increasing collaboration: calendars, scheduling tools for meeting requests and monitoring response, contact management, files storage/sharing, photo albums, task lists and threaded discussion boards. Co-workers, customers or vendors may share information across multiple platforms and geographic boundaries through any web browser.

Advanced wireless and synchronization technologies provide universal access to shared information from anywhere, at anytime. Collabrio’s proprietary software provides three-way synchronization with popular software programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Organizer, as well as with popular handheld devices including the Palm series. Additionally, the application is WAP-enabled allowing access to information from any phone with Internet capabilities and/or a Palm VII.

“Businesses are focusing on using the Internet to improve workplace efficiency and productivity. We are focused on providing an easy, cost-efficient way for any size business to do this, effortlessly and painlessly,” said Collabrio Technologies CEO Patrick Connolly.

In addition to providing SME products, Collabrio provides custom solutions for consumer and business destination sites and for service aggregators like ISPs and web hosting companies.
